This website and the Jetpay service are operated by Baseline Processing Inc. “Jetpay” and “Baseline Payments” are trading names of Baseline Processing Inc. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Baseline Processing Inc.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit jetpayit.com, create a Jetpay account, or use our payment services. We are a Canadian electronic funds transfer (EFT) provider and handle personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as you use our services:
- Account and identity information — name, business name, email address, phone number, and details we are required to verify to meet financial and anti-money-laundering regulations.
- Financial and banking information — bank account details and connection data used to send and receive payments. Where you connect a bank account, that connection is handled through our banking data provider, Flinks.
- Transaction information — the payments you send and request, amounts, counterparties, and status.
- Usage and device information — log data, IP address, browser and device details, and how you interact with the site and app.
How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and secure the Jetpay service and process your payments.
- To verify identity and meet our legal, regulatory, and FINTRAC obligations.
- To detect and prevent fraud, and to protect the security of accounts and funds.
- To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- To send service, security, and account notifications, and—where permitted—relevant product updates.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service and meet our obligations:
- Service providers that operate our infrastructure and features, including Google Cloud Platform (hosting) and Flinks (secure bank connections), under agreements that limit their use of your data.
- Financial institutions and payment networks required to complete the transfers you initiate.
- Regulators and authorities where disclosure is required by law or to comply with legal process.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
How we protect your information
Security is central to how we operate. Data sent between you and our applications is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, and our servers are located in Canada, so your data is protected under Canadian law. We restrict access to personal data to authorized personnel who need it, separate our development and production environments, and support two-factor authentication on Jetpay accounts.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterward as we are required to for legal, regulatory, tax, and record-keeping purposes. When information is no longer required, we take steps to securely delete or de-identify it.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to certain uses. Some information must be retained to meet regulatory requirements. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
